  • Thanks for the positive heart felt post .

I am now awaiting the stage of my cancer to determine what treatment is most appropriate ,

Like most battleing what ever cancer they have we all  have the same thing in common we are fearful not just for ourself but our loved ones .Thats why its good to chat to people in the same boat ive found my friends kinda treat me differently they mean  well i guess. Anyway i will post when i have more news and hopefully we can all help each other through.

  • Hi Micky,

My father was recently diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. He's just turned 60 this year and is in good health. It was just caught on a CT scan he went in for his stomach which also picked up his chest. The oncologist confirmed to my dad that they're going to aim for cure rather than treatment. He's going to be on 1 month of chemo and radio which will be followed up with a scan 3 months later.

My only advice is not to go on Dr Google to look at statistics as they're generalised and not person specific. We didn't think dad would be curable but the doctors seem to think so!

Let me know how you get on! Best of luck with your journey!

    Annie

  • Thanks Annie ive kept of the internet for the best part of a week i do hope your dad and myself end up with a cure of some sorts xx
