Fibroadenoma

I found a lump last year and had a biopsy. The result came back saying it's fibroadenoma. Doctors told me everything is fine and no treatment is needed. Spoke to a few women who I know and they have said they have had the lumps removed. I'm just worried on my they didn't remove the lump I've got. It's not changed in size but is there a chance it could turn into cancer if left?

Hello, I found a lump 4 years ago, I only had an ultrasound no biopsy, was told it was a fibroadenoma. Mine didn't get removed either, it's still there but no change. Hope this helps x

Hi,
Just to say that I had one of these diagnosed by biopsy a couple of years ago and they've left it in - apparently there is no additional risk of them becoming cancer.
I did ask them to remove it because it's painful - even more so since the biopsy (especially before my period). They said no.
