Hi everyone!
Firstly I hope everyone has been keeping safe and well recently. Such a difficult time for lots of people so sending lots of love.
At the start of January, my mum noticed a weird-looking mole on my back. Unfortunately, it was in a position that I can't really see so I didn't have a clue how long it had been there or if it had changed shape/colour etc. I got in touch with my GP who quickly referred me to a dermatologist to have it looked at. My first appointment was on 15th Feb where the dermatologist confirmed it was atypical and had me back today (25th Feb) for an excision biopsy.
The doctor asked if I'd had an appointment arranged to have the results, which I hadn't, but then didn't say anything else about how I'd go about getting them. She said it could take up to 4 weeks but I'm feeling pretty nervous about the wait and not knowing when/how I'll know. What was everyone else's experience like in getting their results back? Do they do it over the phone if everything comes back fine? Or would they want me to come back in to see them again?
Any help or words appreciated!
Erin X
