Can anyone offer advice or help

Hey,

I have Nurofibramotisis type 1, I got referred to a gynogologist who sent me for an ultrasound who found a tumor, I then have had various MRIs and recently been referred to London as it needed a specialist, I have had more MRIs there. They have told me where the tumor is. Along the right psoas along the lumbosacralplexus, but at the moment they don't know what type, I have a family history of cancer and I'm seriously worried but no one is telling me anything.

Also I have a polyp in my bowel they think it might be cancer but not sure, I just dont know how to deal with this all.

Any tips or anything would help.

  • Hi Leftie96,

i couldn't just read your post and run. I hope you are as well

as you can be with all the worry.

I don't have any experience of your investigations, but I do know what it feels like to  be waiting for test results and worrying, hoping for good news but expecting the worst. I think it's certainly one of the most difficult things to deal with. Nothing seems to happen fast but you get reassurances that things are happening in the background, but it just seems to take forever.

I wish there was something I could say to ease you through this challenging time. All I can say is that you need to try to look after yourself, as it's a marathon and not a sprint, and you need to be in the best shape mentally and physically for the journey, whatever that may be.

The waiting doesn't last forever, although it certainly feels like it!  I wish you all the best. Hopefully someone will be along soon with some better advice or some experience that you can share and you can get reassurance from.

    best wishes, Johol xx
