So had my first colposcopy yesterday, the nurses are absolutely wonderful, I was reassured as soon as I sat in the seat that my cell changes were miniscule, although a biopsy did need to be taken ( felt absolutely nothing) she then explained what she believed my result from that would be and was so good at putting my mind as ease, if anyone is scared (I know I was so terrified I needed a xanax) about going to colposcopy, Don't be! You'll be totally fine, those nurses are a godsend they really don't get the credit they deserve, hope this helps someone who is worried x
