Hi,
I wanted some advice after an MRI for a neck lump.
Was reffered on to urgent pathway by my GP in January. I had an ultrasound and the consultant who came in to do my biopsy decided against it as he said it looked like a Branchial cyst.
I was relived as i was convinved it was lymphoma.
I has to have an MRI scan with contrast (not too sure why) and was told I would hear back within the week as it was an 'urgent' case, due to being a head/neck concern.
A week and a half later, i still have not heard back but have recieved a letter stating that I have a telephone appointment in just short of 3 weeks time (a month after my scan).
Is this routine? Is this how they will tell me my results, and if so is this a good sign that it is not urgent? I am not sure if a month after my scan is still considered urgent or not, and whether the fact it is a telephone appointment makes it less concerning?
Thanks
