I'm only 22 and convinced I have Vaginal Melanoma which is so embarrassing to admit. After finding a mole that had changed shape I'm so scared to go and see a doctor or tell my parents.

Hi Jade,
I know how scared and embarrassed you must feel but please speak to your GP. They have seen & heard everything and they will not make you feel embarrassed at all. You don't have to tell your parents or anyone else if you don't feel happy doing so but only your GP can tell you if your mole is OK. We are always here for you to chat to but we can't take away your concern.
Vaginal melanoma is rare & at your young age there is much less chance that your mole is dodgy - moles can change, appear and disappear in your twenties, but a mole that is obviously causing concern is going to play on your mind so please contact your GP. You will feel much better after you take a deep breath & pick up that phone, trust me. Good luck and please let us know how you get on,
Angie (melanoma patient)
Thank you. I've just called my GP and have an appointment next Friday so I feel more relaxed now. I'm just hoping its positive news. Thank you for the advice and I will let you know how I get on
Jade
I'm so pleased that you've made an appointment xx
