Polyps Post Covid

Hello!  I'm waiting for my biopsy after having two polyps removed.

I started spotting 4 years into menopause, 4 months after I had

Covid-19. No trouble prior, though I am 30 pounds overweight.

I see in my long hauler's forum that a few folks had spotting

post Covid as well.  I should have the biopsy news soon (la stress!). But just

wanted to check in as to what questions I should ask if it is not cancer.

I am starting to spot a little again, and wonder if they missed something or

if it might take longer to heal.  It was not spotting after 2 weeks but started

up again. I offered to show them the hysteroscopy results from my French doctor

and they declined.  The polyps they removed were near the cervix, but

in France they thought there might be small cysts near the ovaries. Hoping

to negotiate a scenario where A is talking to B.  Ay! Also glad I did not take them

up on their (many times proferred) offers of estrogen, as I see this might

make polyps worse.  Is that your understanding? Anyone else out there

with reproductive biopsies post Covid? Or know of any connection between

Covid vascular damage and polyps?  Hating

the wait, but happy for any advice! And good health to all!

  • As I noticed this is your first post with us and no one replied to it yet, I wanted to stop by to say hello and welcome you to Cancer Chat, YearoftheOx.

I'm sorry to hear that you've been going through a bit of stress while you wait for your biopsy test results. Worrying while you wait is something that many here are familiar with, and I hope you will soon hear from them, as chatting with those who can relate to what we're going through does seem to help.

I also wanted to mention that if you don't hear from our members on your thread, feel free to join the conversations already taking place on the forum, our members are very friendly, and I'm sure they'll be happy to talk with you.

Last but not least, once you know more about your results, please come back and give us an update. We're keeping our fingers crossed for you.

    All the best,

    Renata, Cancer Chat Moderator

  • Thanks, Renata!  It was feeling a little lonely out there . . .  ; )  I know the Covid angle is a bit of a niche, and it may not in fact be what's going on, but in case it is, I'm hoping to have some leads for my doctor.  From what I have seen with other Covid care, patients need to be very proactive, as not all doctors are in the Covid loop.  I'm going to contact my gyn  today to let hr know I am spotting again. And to see if she has any news on the biopsy.  Take care and be well!
