I did get referred to the breast clinic straight away, the doctor didn't even examine me, just asked me questions over the phone, my appointment is Monday 12th April! The annoying thing is, it's at 6.30pm!!!! When is your appointment for??? Xx

looks like you have a good doctor!! I think my doctor needs to go to specsavers or back to uni, one of the 2 hahaha oh wow thats quick. Ive got to wait for my hospital to call me to arrange an appointment it was meant to be by the 6th but they havent called so ill chase that up tomorrow!!

Im wondering if theres a criteria to be sent to the clinic straight away, how old are you? Just trying to prepare myself with facts for when the clinic try to avoid doing scans etc, i can already see it coming!xx

That did make me chuckle a bit, I often think that about particular doctors haha. 
 

yes do chase it tomorrow and try and get an appointment booked in. I have 5 days to go and slowly but surely can feel the nerves kicking in!! 
 

oh I'm not sure about a criteria, I just assumed all lumps should be checked. I am 30 so I know I will probably not be offered a mammogram, unless absolutely necessary. Most likely just an ultrasound and if needed a biopsy, which terrifies me. Just don't let anyone fob you off. Ask for reasons, for example why they don't want to do specific scans or the opposite! Xx

well before chasing it up my appointment letter came through the post, its today. How did your appointment go, was everything ok?
 

Its so silly how some people meet the criteria and others dont due to age!! Im panicking now, just hoping i wont be sat there waiting too long, hoping i dont have to take my piercings out cos they are so hard and painful to get back in. Well as long as they dont try to fob me off like the doctor, fingers crossed ill get some answers tomorrow. I must remember to message back and update you, got a million things going on, dont know whether im coming or going haha xx

so glad you finally got your appointment, what time is it today? 
 

I had my appointment on Monday, all went well it's glandular tissue so nothing to worry about and no further investigations. I saw the consultant first and left my piercing in, she told me I would likely have to take my piercing Out for the scan so I took it out there and then. When I went on for my scan the lady scanning me said I could have left it in she would have scanned around it even though the lump is near the piercing. I was so gutted because when I tried to put the bar back in before I left the hospital I couldn't and it was painful, but when I got home with some water and a bit of help from my partner and some pain later I finally got it back in.
