Not sure what to do...

Hello everyone.

So about two years ago I had a lump went to the doctor's was the referred to the breast clinic. Anyway all was absolutely fine said it could jst be lumpy tissue and that breasts can sometimes just have harder tissues.

Fast forward I've found another lump opposite breast I actually found this in August 2020 and I've still done nothing about it. It's not huge I don't think it's got any bigger it's not painful or anything. But am I being stupid by not just getting it checked I don't want to waste anyone's time. Especially with all thing covid going on. I'm just not really sure what to do it's not worrying me I'm not losing sleep about it but every time I have a shower I just think should I get it check. I just feel silly I suppose.

I work really long hours and also don't have much time to sort out doctors appointments ect another reason that I've not.

I'll be honest I feel silly like I'm wasting everyone's time on here.

  • Hi Cupcakebee,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I would suggest you do make an appointment with your GP to get this checked out. Even if it turns out to be nothing, it's better to have peace of mind.

Doctors would always rather people called them for things like this and you're certainly not wasting their time - it is what they're there for.

Give them a call and you'll likely have a phone appointment initially, then if they feel it's necessary they'll ask to see you in person.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Hi Cupacakebee,

You are certainly not silly in being concerned about this. All breast lumps should be checked out. It is possible that you just have naturally lumpy breasts and, that here is nothing untoward, but you just never know. It is worth seeing to this just to ease your mind. Your GP will possibly give you a telephone consultation to start with, but can see you if s/he deems it necessary.

Please let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

Keeping my fingers crossed for good news.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Thank you for the response. I did call this morning I feel so silly like I'm just time wasting. But I'm off round for a check with the doctor later this afternoon. Soon be able to just relax.
