Hi everyone,
I am 35 and I have had enlarged axillary lymph nodes for a long time. Only been seen in breast clinic.
7 years ago was told they was between 1-2cm but felt they looked normal under ultrasound scan (fatty tissue).
5 years ago was told the same via ultrasound scan but now 2-2.5cm normal (fatty tissue)
Today had another ultrasound scan under the breast clinic, was told now 3cm looks normal (fatty tissue). I have recently over the last few months started getting night soaking sweats and feeling freezing cold in the day, with occational day sweats. I suffer from fatigue and have recently started getting pins and needles in arm where what feels like the lymph node is catching in my armpit. This is in my right armpit, I do have lymph nodes that are big in my left armpit between 1-2cm in but have stayed the same. Full blood count we just outside of normal, otherwise fine doctor is going to repeat these again soon in a couple of weeks.
A friend mentioned this could be signs of lymphoma.
Doctors were going to send me away saying everything was fine today, when I questioned lymphoma as I am getting concerned, they have agreed to refer me to haematology but said they felt a biopsy is not needed as the lymph node a just look fatty on the ultrasound scan.
Should I be pushing for a biopsy?
Can this be normal?
Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks xx
