Hello everyone.  I have just registered on the site and am a first time poster. 

I noticed a lump (left supraclavicular area) in early November. At the time I wasn't worried as working in a school I thought I might have picked up a virus / bug which was asymptomatic. However, the lump failed to go down so tried making appt with doctors. Due to the current situation appts were telephone triage only and they were given either morning or afternoon (not an actual time) and then face to face if needed.  I could not make the appointments so tried in the Xmas holidays with no luck. Fast forward to this week I had phone triage then appt with nurse the following day. She said I would be referred on the 2ww for ultrasound. I have since had a message saying the doctor didn't think it requires an urgent referral as it has been there for a while and not got any bigger, although he hasn't seen me in person.  I suffer at times with anxiety and felt pleased that I would have an answer in a couple of weeks, now the sickness feeling has started and anxiety is ramping up knowing I have to wait even longer.  How long does a non urgent referral take? And has anyone else got a lump for no reason that doesn't grow or shrink (is just there) and been fine?
