Second colonoscopy 9 more polyps removed

Hi to cut a long story short I had bad pain in stomach bowel movements changing weekly for about year and half.

7 months ago I had a positive fit test, so was referred for colonoscopy where they removed 4 small polyps sent to pathology came bk benign but there was one big one that was 15mm graded IV they removed it but couldn't retrieve to test it.
I went back yesterday and they found 9 more polyps scattered throughout my colon but there was a cluster of 5 in the same place where the big one was in last colonoscopy they had to clip it after they removed them all

I'm confused after my 1st colonoscopy they said I only had 2 or 3 small ones left to remove.                              how did they miss 5 in the same place the big one was?
or could they have grown in 6 months biggest was 6mm.

I have to wait for pathology but also on report sheet it's says IBD assessment how do they even test for that??

head is all over the place

I'm sorry to hear that you've needed more polyps removing at your most recent colonoscopy. it's understandable that you may have some questions about things.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to give you any answers. Did the hospital say how long you would have to wait for the results? It might be an idea to give the Consultant's secretary a call to find out if you're able to talk to someone within the team about your concerns. Alternatively, you could give your GP a call who may be able to give you some information that helps.

I hope that you don't have to wait too long for news and that it brings you some reassurance.

    Best wishes,
