Hi all 

I'm new here

I had high Platelets for over a year now so GP sent me for some Cancer tests. I had lung CT that was clear, An Endoscopy which 1st one showed slow digestion so had redone and they said all looked clear but biobsy taken for few things awaiting results

I then had ultrasound scan late last week and found a complicated   7mm x 7mm x 7mm cyst with hard nudule in the centre of it got a call yesterday morning to see gynaecologist that afternoon so went to the appointment  and was told it doesn't look good as I have been post-menopausal since 2004 so was unlikely to be caused by a surge of hormones, I had CA125 blood tests but am awaiting that result which will more than likely have the result tomorrow, although think its back but surgery Drs not signed it off yet, which I am hoping is good news as they seem to be quick getting back to you if something comes back abnormal

The hospital said they are sending my images to some people with more expertise in imaging 

Has anyone else had this with a hard nodule in cyst on one ovary? and it been benign?

She seems to want to take my ovaries and tubes out, I myself have not decided if it is Cancer that I will be doing much about it, but would prefer they took just the cyst out and check that for cancer that way will know or not if its cancer or not , I would rather not have an invasive operation if it's benign
