So today I saw a Consultant about my ovarian cyst on a 2 week referral. No up to date notes from my gp's surgery had arrived. He said I should have a ct scan in a couple of weeks but would scan me again in 3/4 months. In my mind why do I need a ct scan then? He said that the cyst looks to be benign but without imaging I don't see how he would tell (I'm guessing he just had my gp's referral letter with some details about my previous scan). Also I was told I should've had blood tests before I arrived at my appt (I told him my last ca125 test was raised - 41 when I had it alongside my ultrasound scans a couple of weeks ago). I was sent for more bloods whilst at my appt today. Feel stupid & frustrated that I didn't ask more questions. My husband had a go at me because of this too - feeling miserable & not sure what to do next? Sorry for the ramble!
