Hello, two days ago I discovered a smallish lump underneath my jawline just in the middle between ear and chin. So I managed to see the GP next day, he told me it was movable and have arranged blood tests in over 2 weeks time.
Thing is, to me, it doesn't seem movable at all, and although it doesn't feel like a stone hard consistency, it feels quite firm, I'm trying to find ways to make it feel moveable, but I'm not sure if it's just my finger tips sliding over it, or just my imagination.
The GP (always different ones in my surgery) I felt wasn't very professional. He seemed to be offended when I asked "are you 100% sure it's moveable" when all I wanted was a bit of reassurance, and booked my blood tests in over 2 weeks time, which doesn't seem urgent.
If there is a malignant tumor there (my research has concluded it could be in the submandibular gland) will a blood test even detect that? Wouldn't only a biopsy show it?
Anyone else had this experience?
Thanks for reading.
