Sister worrying about colposcopy results. How can I help her

Hi I'm not sure if anyone is on here right now but I cant sleep!

My sister went for a smear which came back abnormal and was sent for a colposcopy, she mentioned that she has a high risk so she was in the highest bracket,  she also mentioned at the colposcopy the lady said she couldn't see any lumps or tumour but my sister will have panicked and not taken half of the information in and with the current situationshe can only go in alone. She said she had something burnt away and a biopsy. 3 weeks later got a letter that just said they would like to speak with her about her biopsy results further but nothing else.

Tomorrow is the day.

Shes really suffered so bad with panic attacks it's affecting us all but I have to put on a brave face for her.

It's really scary does anyone know why they wouldn't put her results on and have her back to discuss the results? It just screams bad news. Please any information or support I can give her will help massively I cant sleep for worrying.

Thanks so much.

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat, Charl92.

I'm sorry to hear about your sister's situation.

You mentioned that she was to have an appointment yesterday to discuss the biopsy results, and I wonder how it all went? Once you have a moment, please come back to give us an update.

All the best to you both,
