14mm endometrial thickness waiting biopsy results

Hello everyone i am 55 years old and this is my story any advice would be so welcome right now, i feel like im caught up in a whirlwind of doom

i had a post menopausal bleed a christmas, within 2 weeks I had seen the doctor for an internal check up .

all seemed well but she Sent me for a scan just to double check

that scared the life out of me. , he was very candid made a few hmmm and arrrs but didn't say much except id like to do wn internal scan if that's ok?  I said if course but why ?? Ohhh just to get a better look around ? He was very vaigue with his answers .except the usual we will be in touch within 2 weeks.

sooo fast forward 10 days ok later doctor rings..  my endometrial thickness was 14mm and soo she was referring me to hospital for a biopsy ?? 
got my appointment within another 10 days and off i went when i got th

here she had the scan pictures and asked could she also do a hysteroscopy . It wasn't that bad just uncomfortable, and they were so lovely.

sooo another 2 week wait .. but within a few days i had a cooy of a letter from hospital to my doctor saying everything looked healthy aoart from the 14 mm thickening(cervix ect was healthy) but she has found a slight thickening on the posterior uterine wall and had taken a biopsy , she said the endometrium looked proliferative and if the endometrial biopsy was benign she would dudd as charge me from her care ? Guess what 2 weeks wait for results.

so now im feeling slightly better about things . Until  3 days ago i had 2 letters on the same day telling me that my appointment was being brought forward fom march to feb then second letter another week forward .. what appointment? I hadnt had one .. so I phoned and all they told me was that she wants to discuss my results?

now I am really worried .. its got to be something ? Or surely they'd just talk over the phone? I mean we are still in a lockdown!

Sooo im going this Thursday 18th feb? And to be fair excpecting the worst.

I am absolutely terrified but am keeping it to myself soo I don't worry my husband and children  x

    Being a woman is a nightmare. 

    My GP is highly suggestive that I have an hysterectomy. I'm 38 with a 15 year old, but would have been really nice to have another baby. 

    I have PCOS too a bulky uterus, bulk ovaries (Bulky belly too, I wonder if that comes off in the pricess) 

    I honestly wouldn't be suprised if I have non alchol fatty liver, I eat so much of the wrong thing. Does that cause bullerubin to be high too? 

    I really hope your breasts stop causing you hassle. I know I should check every month, but I have fibrocystic breast and fibroedanomas plus lipoms so it stresses me out and I check every 6 months now as I got fed up of visiting clinic.  

    Keep me updated and I really hope that they got all the tissue they needed today and you can get your answers asap lovely.

    Hi, sorry just to jump on here.  I've just joined the forum. Reading all of your experiences is good for me.. I had hysteroscopy over 2 weeks ago and they took biopsies of thickening of uterus lining.  I have 4 children but youngest is almost 15.  After giving birth, I had an ablation due to pre cancerous cells.  Also had merina coil fitted at the time.. I had merina removed 7 years ago and had absolutely no bleeding until a few months ago and it was pure black blood.  
    I rang gynae secretary last Friday and my results were in but the doctor hadnt read them yet.  I spoke to her yesterday again and she said the doctor still hadnt read them, but she assured me I will hear on Monday morning.

    Hi, thanks for replying so quickly.   I hope your results are good too. 
    the waiting is awful isn't it...  of course I keep thinking if the results were clear, then possibly they could've just told me that ... x

    Hi can I ask if you found it painful the hysteroscopy?I am having One on Monday but I want a GA after reading all the horror stories,do you have to have it done again with a GA?

    Hi thank you for your reply.I am going to ask definitely for a GA.I suffer extreme anxiety always in agony with a smear and not had a child naturally.Also I have read you can be put through all this and have to stop if you are in pain or they don't always get the results and then have to have a GA anyway.

    How are getting on now what stage are you at?Have you had the results of your Biopsy yet?So terrifying all this isn't it you can't help but raced forward and fear the worse.

    I don't know I asked the doctor have I been through menopause or am I still perimenpause,she couldn't say as I was border line have to have fsh done again in 2 weeks I am 55 but my mam was late going through menopause.What about you?Did you have raised CA125?Mine was 48.2 whatever that means.

    Hi they say it is possibly menopause although I have most of the symptoms.  X

    how have you been? Have you had any appointments yet?

     

    i am still waiting to see the dr (18th august i go) after my last appointment got cancelled so i am very much still in the dark about what they are going to do seeing as they could not do the hysterosocopy. 
     

    the worst thing is definatly the waiting and not knowing
