Hi
You need to demand your GP send you for a colonoscopy.
I had early stage bowel cancer last year and that was the only symptom I had.
Bowel resection later radiotherapy and chemo and, all sorted if you get bowel cancer early there is good outcomes. X
I'm waiting for a scan for adnormal bleeding. Light spotting between periods & really heavy periods. My health anxiety is through roof. Remember this bleeding can be from a number of things & you should go to your drs. I've had several friends who have had the same symptoms. One being diagnosed perimenopausel & the other with fibroids & endometriosis. Get checked because if your symptoms worsen so will your worry. It may as be as simple as having a coil fitted or fibroid removed.
Hi.
Im glad to hear that you caught your cancer early. I lost my mom to bowel cancer this year after 18 months of misdiagnosis and being ignored.
I've had bleeding from the vagina after passing a stool, irregular bleeding for 2 years now. The gynecologist has found nothing wrong so I'm now pushing for my bowels to be checked after what my mom went through. I have an appointment in Jan so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm so glad I found this forum as I thought I was alone in this and the gynecologist always looked at me like I was crazy when I told him what qas happening, my gp even told me it's not possible for the bowel to cause vaginally bleeding so finding this has made me realise that I'm not cracking up.
Hi
I'm having the same problem, I was ok till I had my smear then 2 days later started bleeding and not stopped fully, at first it was all the time, went to gyno and had a polyp removed and was told all was ok but now my bleeding seems to be when I have a bowel movement , I'm not sure if to go back ?
Hi,
I do not want to frigthen you but I had the same problem more than a year before I saw my gp in March. The gp said it was because of perimenopause.....but in Oct, I went to see a private doctor and after hysterectomy in the end Oct, I now know I have Stage 2 endometrial cancer.
So if you are in doubt, do not wait for NHS referral. See a private doctor if possible asap.
Best wishes,
Chui
Thanks for your reply, I think I will give them a call, hope everything goes well with you
