Have you had any results yet ??

i am in a similar situation .

although i feel everything is happening so quickly.

i had a post menopausal bleed a christmas, within 2 weeks I had seen the doctor for an internal check up .

all seemed well but she Sent me for a scan just to double check

that scared the life out of me. , he was very candid made a few hmmm and arrrs but didn't say much except id like to do wn internal scan if that's ok?  I said if course but why ?? Ohhh just to get a better look around ? He was very vaigue with his answers .except the usual we will be in touch within 2 weeks.

sooo fast forward 10 days ok later doctor rings..  my endometrial thickness was 14mm and soo she was referring me to hospital for a biopsy ?? 
got my appointment within another 10 days and off i went when i got th

here she had the scan pictures and asked could she also do a hysteroscopy . It wasn't that bad just uncomfortable, and they were so lovely.

sooo another 2 week wait .. but within a few days i had a cooy of a letter from hospital to my doctor saying everything looked healthy aoart from the 14 mm thickening(cervix ect was healthy) but she has found a slight thickening on the posterior uterine wall and had taken a biopsy , she said the endometrium looked proliferative and if the endometrial biopsy was benign she would dudd as charge me from her care ? Guess what 2 weeks wait for results.

so now im feeling slightly better about things . Until  3 days ago i had 2 letters on the same day telling me that my appointment was being brought forward fom march to feb then second letter another week forward .. what appointment? I hadnt had one .. so I phoned and all they told me was that she wants to discuss my results?

now I am really worried .. its got to be something ? Or surely they'd just talk over the phone? I mean we are still in a lockdown!

Sooo im going this Thursday 18th feb? And to be fair excpecting the worst.

what was your outcome?  Are you ok ?

Had a phone call today after 4 weeks of waiting and me chasing them up. The Doctor wants to set me tomorrow afternoon to "discuss my results".

Really worried now as I imagined just getting a letter to say it was clear.

yes i have conplex endometrial hyperplasia with atypia...

ive been sent for Mri scans and. Xrays of my chest and I have an appointment for a Thursday 11th for follow up and to discuss the scans .  Consultant has recommended a full hysterectomy which ive agreed  to .

just need to see what's said on Thursday now . I can' fault the NHS  they've been thorough and really efficient. Ive been seen within 2 weeks each time .

Got my results and it is Stage 1 cancer so I'm going in on Wednesday for hysterectomy and oophectomy. Bit of a shock as I was convinced it was taking so long for results because they were ok!!

There were a lot of cells that were still pre-cancerous so hopefully they won't find anything worse than stage 1 after it's removed. 

Bit worried about the op as I have a high BMI and it's the first time I've had anesthetic or surgery so I don't know how my body will react. Trying to stay positive though, hopefully I won't be in hospital long and I'm sure once I'm back home I'll feel even better

im sure once you've had the hysterectomy things will be ok, they will remove it all and you'll be fine x

i was admitted ... prepped for theatre ... at 10am ....

waited all day nil by mouth

 4pm ... op cancelled , they ran out of borrowed theatre time...

so I was sent home to Wait ...

here I am waiting ... worrying...

I'm sat in hospital typing this to you. 

All went well and I'm going home this afternoon (hopefully).

Hope you get yours soon. 

Just got to wait for histology now but they said it could be 6 weeks!!
