Worried skin cancer

I had gauges in my left cheek last feb 2020, I'd had a good few months prior to this also.

the nurse was worried it was advanced cance and sent me to be checked and they took some pictures.

it came back that I didn't have cancer but i was due for a follow up last March but due to covid this never happened. To no fault of the surgery
it never went away and now I have it in both cheeks, I try to call to the gp but it's too busy, I have tried also 111 but too busy.
I do have an appointment next Wednesday but due to blood test results and low blood cells and count and thyroid, but doctors only do 1 appointment issue,

what do I do.?

  • Hi,

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean by 'gauges'. Are these sores that you have in your mouth or on the skin of your cheeks? Was it dermatology that you were due to see last March or was it someone at your GP surgery?

I think you should keep trying your GP. Or, when you attend your appointment next Wednesday, mention the problem & say that you want another GP appointment arranging if the GP can't deal with it there and then.
