Being checked for lymphoma

Hi all...I've been experiencing high temperatures on and off for a year now and recently realised they had become periodic (once a month) then I'd feel ok in between. I thought it was long covid but after a trip to the doctors, Lymphoma was mentioned, then an urgent referral to a haematologist.

Just got the blood test results back, still waiting for the CT results but only 2 abnormalities, Platets which is raised, everything else looks normal. Just wondered if anyone else had the same experience with the temperature? Waiting for the results has been dreadful! Feel relieved but perhaps I shouldn't until the CT results are through?

Thanks

  • Hello C_B

I'm sorry to hear that you're currently waiting on some test results for a possible lymphoma diagnosis. I know that lots of our members will understand how difficult it can be waiting for results.

Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long for the CT results and the Consultant will be able to give you some reassurance even if they don't have an answer to your symptoms.

Do let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear what you've been going through, have you any other symptoms of lymphoma? I have also been experiencing low grade temperatures on and off for a while now, this worries me that it could possibly be lymphoma. I have had an appointment with my GP but they seem to fob it off as just an infection.. I'm  glad your results have so far come back as normal!

    take care
