Symptoms of bladder cancer in women

I am a woman -aged 56 all my adult life I hsve brem prone to uti's

normally they clear with a short course of trimethoprim which has had llimited effect (short term relief,this time)f followed by a return to the original symptoms (frequency -burning etc I have been drinking lots of cranberry juice I have also had an ongoing issue with thrush( am currently on HRT) which comes and goes with cannesten (cream and pessaries)

I haven't touched alcohol for30 years annd wonder if there could be anything else "afoot'so to speak any insight gratefully received

    I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with recurrent UTI's. I can imagine that it's quite difficult and frustrating at times. 

    You don't mention in your post if you've ever been referred to see a Urologist or had any investigations beyond the standard tests your GP might request. If not then it would be worth speaking to your GP about your concerns and asking for a referral.
