Worried about diagnoses - Swollen lymph nodes

I've been able to feel my lymph nodes for years, I had them checked when I was a lot younger and was completely dismissed. I wanted to have them checked again as they've never gone down and the doctor referred me for an ultrasound and some blood tests. I'm yet to receive the date of the ultrasound but I had a call from my GP this morning asking for a repeat of my blood test. I'm now really worries - is this because they've picked something up unusual and need to double check?

If anyone has gone through a similar situation I would love to hear your experiences.

Hey, sorry to hear your having these worries. I'm in a similar boat at the moment. I had a swollen lymph node come up a few years ago and had an ultrasound, they said it was nothing sinister and might be there forever sometimes they just don't go down! About 3 weeks ago I felt another, now I've got 4 swollen all in my groin. They're really small and are moveable but obviously really worried. Due for an ultrasound next Friday 19th so will see what they say. I've not felt well in myself and a lot of pain in my sides which is also a concern. Just got to wait and see but the waiting is horrendous.

Hi,
yeah I've got about 4 in my neck and 2 in my groin and have had them as long as I can remember. Let me know how it goes with your ultrasound. Fingers crossed for you!
