Tested for lung cancer

My Dad had an xray and nothing showed up on his lungs he then had an appointment for a CT scan and they have found something on his right lung we are all devastated, worried and scared. He now has to wait for an appointment for a PET scan and a biopsy I'm so confused as he said the way they were talking to him they were pretty sure it was cancer. I can't stop crying any information will help. Thankyou.

    I know I can't take the worry away but I want you to know our community are here for you and we'll all have our fingers crossed the results of his upcoming tests will bring good news.

    Thankyou so much fortunately it turned out to be nothing, when he went for a pet scan what they had found on his lung previously had shrank and they said it must of been an underlying infection. Unfortunately he went on to have a heart attack a few months later but with treatment he hasn't felt so good in years. So this time a very happy ending.
