I have the same issue as you except when my doctor felt around my jaw and neck, she said it might be the parathyroid gland because "it can't be a salivary gland cus you're too young to have issues with that". I'm worried cus when i went back home to research where the parathyroids are, they are nowhere near where my lump is. I'm convinced mine is to do with the submandibular gland! She's booked me in for further blood tests but I really want a scan as soon as.

How long did you have to wait for an ultrasound? And did your dr refer you as urgent? Is yours by the submandibular area too?

I'm really annoyed cus it feels like she's dismissing my worries and the location of the lump because of my age!

Yeah mine is the submanjular area. The ultrasound was referred sharpish I waited a week and a half?

Any news jack? My left submandibular gland is quite swollen, the one on left I mean, same on right side except about half the size, both firm and somewhat moveable (I think).

Also got two lymph nodes small and firm on left side collarbone and right side at base of neck.

bloods came back as "satisfactory" 3 days ago so waiting for a phone appointment with GP in two days to discuss a scan.

Hey! Sorry for hijacking. I am having an ultrasound with possible biopsy on Tuesday as I have two glands up in my neck. Could I ask what the process of having a biopsy is?
