Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well.
Today I went to my GP regarding an issue I found with my breast. Last week, while I was getting dressed, I noticed that my right breast had dimples when I flexed my pectoral muscles. That freaked me out because just recently I had seen a Facebook post about a woman who was diagnosed with breast cancer and her only symptom was dimpling. I obviously immediately made an appointment with my GP. Today my GP examined me and later said that she can't feel a defined lump in there but that the area is definitely lumpier than in the other breast. She said that it is HIGHLY unlikely that it's breast cancer given that I'm 25 and have no family history of breast cancer but she would refer me to a breast clinic anyway so that they can check out the area.
Now, I am known to be a big hypochondriac, however, I am so scared that they will find something malicious at the clinic and that it's going to be breast cancer. After I left the GP surgery I felt like throwing up and dizzy. That's how scared I was and now I am at work and can barely concentrate and feel always shaky and jittery.
I just need someone to talk to. Did someone experience dimpling as well and it turned out NOT to be cancer? What will they do to me at the clinic?
