I'm almost 42, mum of 4. (4 c-sections, 1 ectopic, both tubes removed) started experiencing a lot of symptoms. Irregular heavy periods, either every 2-3wks or going upto 8 wks. Bleeding in-between periods, especially after intercourse. Pain, during intercourse and on ovulation. Constant pain on left Ovary. Bloating & weight loss. Finally I went to see the doc who sent me for an ultrasound and a smear. Due to previous CIN3 & GCIN the Nurse who did my smear decided best to send me to the colposcopy clinic as I started bleeding alot when she did the smear. I was fast-tracked on the 2wk Pathway. Smear can back negative for HPV so no further testing was done. At the appointment I had a further ultrasound. (Never was told result of first scan) Which showed my lining was 16cms thick and a small cyst on my right ovary. My left couldn't be seen (They said that was a good thing and the constant pain felt could be my ovary is affected by adhesions). I was booked in for a hysteroscopy & Biopsy under GA as I suffer from Seizures. As well as the CA125 blood test. I had the procedure 2 weeks ago. I saw 2 doctors who seemed to be looking at different things. 1 looking at the lining, thinking it was due to polyps (and moaning about me not wanting the IUD) and the other about my ovary. My CA125 came back at 43. Doc said they would have a good look at ovary and then together with test results make a plan of action as the blood test is indicating there is an issue but doesn't mean anything serious. After I came round I was told that I didn't have any polyps and that my biopsy result would be back in 3 weeks.
Friday I received a call to go for a MRI appointment, as I am having to have one for my shoulder I assumed it was that. I went today and ended up having a pelvic MRI with contrast. They said that something had shown up on my ultrasound that needed further imaging. They seemed surprised I didn't know about the MRI. So of course I am now thinking the worse.
Does this mean the biopsy has shown something?
Most of what I've read says that you have a MRI to diagnosis which stage the cancer is at
