Swollen lymph nodes

Hi all, long story im afraid.

so I went to the doctors about 11 weeks ago with lumps in my neck. Painless, pea sized and all relatively moveable. She sent me for an ultrasound scan.

ultradound date came two weeks later and they did the scan and doctor said he wasn't concerned and looked like they were swollen lymph nodes due to infection. I had already had blood results which showed no sign of infection the previous week at the doctors. I returned to doctors a few weeks later as lumps had grown and now several including a much larger one buried in my collarbone. Doctor put me on to see ENT. ENT declined referral due to scan results previously although lumps had grown from 1cm to 1.5 and new lumps had formed. Consulted with doctor who agaoned put another referral through. I waited two weeks (assumed two week wait) and nothing. Called the hospital who informed me I had been put on a routine appt and unsure when appt would be. I explained the situation and the said to speak again to GP.

spoke to GP who stated it was an error and placed me on 2ww to ent. Saw ent consultant 2 weeks later who was very concerned and said 'we need to skip the biopsy and get the lumps out'. I am obviously very concerned now as there has been a huge delay and I now have pain in my neck and the lumps have doubled in size again.

I am booked in for surgery on Monday and terrified. I have a 2 year old and a 5 year old and am only 35.

anyone had a similar situation?! Xx
