chronic pain

hiya,

i suppose im doing this to ease my mind and just get other peoples opinions.

cancer runs in my family with both my nan and mum having had it. in the last few weeks my pain has been getting a lot worse. i have been having a few problems now so im just gonna do each thing and about it. i have been having upper arm pain which starts in my shoulder and goes all the way down to my fingers. i havent injured it and the pain is like a deep aching throbbing pain. it is there all day and night and is now affecting my sleep as i cant get comfortable with it and it hurts a lot. ihavent slept well for about a week now and its affecting being at work. in the night ive also been having nightsweats even when the window is open and the room is very cold. ive been having headaches for many months and was sent for a head scan which was fine. i recently was diagnosed with anemia aswell. im having heart palpitations very often which make me go nauseaus and lightheaded. im very tired all the time and cant stand up for too long because i go very weak. i get out ofbreath very easily just from either walking to the toilet or having a conversation. i have been on my period for 5 weeks constantly now and have severe pain in my abdo which feels like im being stabbed constantly. im bloated and my stomach reacts to everything i eat. i also keep needing to pee all the time even when i havent drunk anything. i have never called in sick for work before but recently i have had to because the pain has been so severe and constant that i cant work. im only 19 so i dont think it is cancer but im worried because i have a history of getting rare diseases and have pretty much grown up being in hospitals. please can someone ease my mind or give me some insight?

  • Hi holzz_xox,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I can see you've had a couple of replies from other members of the forum to your other post. There is not much more I can add to their comments unfortunately; the best thing really is to speak to your GP if you have any concerns - they will be best placed to advise.
