My husband (53) has had a hoarse voice on and off since November, and consistently for about five weeks now.   Had a few telephone appts with nurses to try a few things, none of which worked, telephone consultation by doctor who referred him To see a specialist on the 2 wrk pathway.

He saw the specialist who said he had a wart like growth on his vocal cord and needed a biopsy.  That is on Monday.

Since then we received a letter from the specialist who said he has a Neil got a letter about his appt.  Consultant has l a small plaque on right anterior commissure.  No idea what that means.

inguess my question is would the specialist say that he suspected cancer?  Or would he just not say anything until it's confirmed?
