High grade severe dyskaryosis

I am 38 single and have no children and thought sharing my experience with people who have the same diagnosis.

Three weeks ago I did my overdue pap smear test after more than 5 years. I received the results two weeks later. According to the letter I was HPV positive and had high grade severe dyskaryosis. It also said thst I will be contacted for colposcopy in two weeks. It was also stated in the letter that in ALMOST all cases this is not cancer. Naturally this could have made me feel better but I fixated on the word ALMOST. NHS nurse who had done my smear test called me later that day and told me not to worry too much and that it is not cancer or even pre cancer. Still I was very anxious and worried, thinking that it could be cancer. I decided to get colposcopy done earlier and therefore contacted my insurance company and after that found a private gynaecology practice. I could get colposcopy appointment the next day. The consultant who saw me the next day was very professional and calm and helpful. When I asked him about cancer he first told me that he doesn't think it is cancer and then assured me that even if it is cancer it is very treatable. This calmed me down a bit. He asked me if I wanted to go with the treatment immediately after colposcopy and I told him yes. Colposcopy was quite OK painless and quick. Doctor turned the screen towards me and explained to me which areas were impacted. LEEP treatment that he did after was a bit unpleasant and uncomfortable but didn't take more than few minutes. The doctor told me that I will have bleeding for few days which actually lasted only 2 days and very little like the first day of period. My sample was sent to the lab and I got the results today after a week. According to the report my treatment was successful and no CIN anymore and no malignant cells (no cancer). Needless to say how happy I am. The doctor told me to take Vitamin E, shiitake mushroom tablets and green tea to boost my immune system. I was a smoker and decided to quit smoking too. Read on Internet a lot about correlation between smoking and progression of dyskaryosis. My gynaecologist also told me I should stop because of its harmful impact on immune system.
Just last thing: I received a phone call from an NHS hospital one day after I did my colposcopy. So in practice it did not take them 2 weeks but just 2 days to reach out. Am not sure if they are always this quick or it was because of severe case diagnosis. Anyway I did do it privately but seems like not much difference in terms of speed.
