Blood blister on side - referral for further test and biopsy

Hi 

Saw my GP yesterday and have been referred to the hospital. I have a dark blood blister thats isnt healing,on my side. Its not a mole that most people talk about so was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experienece?

He said they will do a biopsy and will discuss treament! I was a bit shocked by this statement so am obviously very anxious about the appointment. The GP was very thorough and I was told when I made the appointment his speciality is dermatology so i am thinking he knows what he is seeing?

The appointment was emailed to me before I returned home, which is very good but has made me worry more! but only a week to wait. 

I can't concentrate on work and didnt sleep much last night!

    I have been waiting 4 weeks for a emergency appointment at dermatology. Scotland's waiting times seem a lot worse than other parts of the U.K. 

    I know it's frightening but Only having one week to wait will definitely be a good thing as the longer you wait the more the worry builds and anger can start at the service you recieve while as that sounds like you have had a really good experience of care so far. 
    I hope your appointment goes well and they can put your mind at ease soon.

    That is a long time. I'm sorry you have to wait that long. 
    yes I know it's very short, I wasn't expecting it at all and I'm grateful
