Endometrium problems

I would like some advice if possible. I was having severe pains and extremely heavy menstrual bleeding (using a whole pack of night towels a day and still leaking) this went for a few months after being dismissed by two GPs I went private managed to without a referral which was lucky as they wouldn't give me one even said I was wasting my money by going to see a consultant even though I had explained the symptoms and even had a polyp with menstruation come out suddenly. Consultant did an examination which showed thickened endometrium and other polyps . A hysteroscopy was done in November and endometrial biopsy she said there was a lot of cell growth but it was negative the biopsy. My concern is I had two pain free reasonably light periods December and January. Now I am in pain again which wakes me in the night it's like a tearing tissue pain and spreads to the back, bleeding is also heavy again. Is it possible the thickening has returned and other polyps?

  • Hello Den32

I'm sorry to hear that the problems you were having last year seem to have returned. It's understandable that you're feeling concerned about why this may be and what is going on for you.

It's impossible for us to say if the thickening or polyps have returned or not but I'd encourage you to get back in touch with your GP to discuss these changes.

I do hope you have some answers and that things improve for you soon.

    Best wishes,
