I'm sorry to hear that your Mum is dealing with some health problems at the moment and that as a result she has been referred to the hospital. 

Many of our members here will understand how challenging this period of waiting for appointments and information can be and as you say, it's difficult not to feel worried. 

Sometimes it can help to talk things through and I wonder if you might find it helpful to talk to one of our team of nurses about your concerns. I'm sure they will be able to give you some information and support whilst your Mum is waiting for a diagnosis. Bloods won't always show anything. After 18 months of doctors messing me around I've been diagnosed with kidney cancer and have an 8.5cm spherical tumour. I'm 47. If she is getting a scan that's good. They will likely do an ultrasound first then a CT scan if anything found.

My bloods are perfect so I wouldn't put too much weight behind that. I hope your mum is ok. Don't assume is cancer though, could be loads of things.
