Possible Lymphoma at 29

Hi everyone, this is my first post. I recently was sent to a surgical oncologist because I had what looked like a lymph node the size of a tennis ball in my groin. According to the ct scan that found it, my spleen and liver are enlarged as well. I have been bone deep tired for months and suffering from unintended weight loss, loss of appetite, and a severe all over itching that comes and goes with no explanation. The doctor immediately did a needle biopsy, but that was not conclusive and now I have to have surgery on the 11th to remove the whole lymph node. I am terrified of a cancer diagnosis. My mum had kidney cancer and my grandmother had leukemia. Does anyone have any advice or even similar stories to mine?

  • Hi, I've just seen your post. I'm going through similar at the moment but I've got several smaller lymph nodes that have flared up. All in my groin. Also itching all over, acheing legs and have lower right abdominal pain. Got bloods tomorrow and waiting on date for scan. The doctor said he wasn't too concerned 'at the moment' which didn't really put me at ease!

it's the waiting that's so hard, constantly reading up and worrying.

    hope your ok
