Hi im a 29yr old female usually fit and well up until around 2 and half weeks ago when I experienced rectal bleeding it was happening every 10mins and the stomache pains that came with it I can only describe them as like labour contaction pains but worse I sat on the toilet for 5 hours as I say I was bleeding every 10mins and I feared I wouldn't make it to a&e I new I had to seek help so I did, when I got to a&e the bleeding continued and the pain was making me sick they took bloods and xrays. bloods came back ok and xray showed I was full of feaces although i wasn't passing any just blood I was admitted untill the bleeding stopped and put on a drip for dehydration. When I returned home I had really bad night sweats for 3 nights, I have to go back this month as an outpatient for a sigmoidoscopy, I also have terrible back pain its there constant and if I eat it makes me bloated and my back pain even worse. Its getting to point i darent eat and I've lost weight. My gp as prescribed me some laxatives today and given me some painkillers to take I've also got to do a stool sample he did say if the sigmoidoscopy doesn't show anything he will refer me for further scans so that is re asurring but in mean time I can't help but worry. I'm just wondering if anyone else as had any similar symptoms and if so what has it turned out to be?
