Hysteroscopy

I had covid and it got quiet bad, But all of a sudden I had a few clots of blood and started to bleed vaginally,I phoned 111 a doctor rang back and said he'd put me on a two week referral, then I got admitted with Corona virus why I was there somebody from gynaecology came and done a scan internally and said I had thickening of the womb lining and its suspected cancer,I've got my appointment Friday for my hysteroscopy and I'm petrified ive got cancer,I can't stop thinking the worse,I watched my sister die of cancer two years ago,And I'm just so scared of the outcome and with covid knowing alot of treatment these days have been stopped.

I'm hoping to know one way or another Friday as I dont think I can go on not knowing.

  • Hello Graykaren and welcome to the forum.

The wait for tests (and results) is always a challenging time but many of our members are going through this as well so you're not alone and I'm sure you'll receive some support and kind words from them soon.

I know I can't take the worry away but I hope this information I've found will help steady your nerves until Friday. I'm not sure if you've had a hysteroscopy before, but if not you can read up on it just here.

We're thinking of you Graykaren and will have our fingers crossed for a good result on Friday.

    Kind regards,

  • Thankyou,Its been the longest week of my life,Theyve came and done another coroner test to be on the safe side,Which surley must be gone as I proved positive on the 16th January.

Just hoping I get some answers on Friday and im not left in the dark again,Dont think I could bare another few weeks not knowing,Its the not knowing and fearing the wirsethats really hard xx

  • Hi I hope you get on ok at you appointment on Friday and your covid test is now negative.

Im in Scotland and had a bleed out the blue too. Am post menopausal.  I had to wait 4 1/2 weeks for urgent gynaea ppointment and nurses and a surgeon did transvaginal ultrasound, an internal, a Hysteroscopy and then took a biopsy as I have thickening of the womb so anither 4 weeks wait for results.  The waiting is really hard but Ive found talking on here to be really helpfil and am calmer than I was.  And can now sleep a but better. keeping busy is also a big help.  Take care and all the best, Jen

  • Hi Jen

Thankyou for your reply,It sounds identical to me,So Friday looks as if I will still have no outcome if I need a biopsy,Four weeks for your results that sounds like an

  • Thanks, it sure is.  But we can't do anything to change the time and unfortunately It is what it is.  Keep your chin up. Jen x
