Evening everyone,
About a year ago I started experiencing tender persistent pain in the groin, especially the testicles.
like some men I originally tried to ignore it, obviously not getting better I eventually took myself off to the doctors.
A chat and very careful examination later I was given a course of antibiotics, needless to say they never worked so another type given but again with no joy.
Off to the doctors again, he noticed a weight loss and asked if I had been dieting, sadly not, this however put his line of thought on a different direction, so onto the table where it was found the prostate was enlarged.
Psa also done which brought back a reading of 15,so case was passed to consultant.
Really excellent service was seen within 2 weeks, again another examination, was told my prostate was more like an orange, it had no middle ridge.
Another course of pills and a 3 month follow up with new Psa, well after only 3 months the Psa has doubled to 30.5, so next step was Mri.
The results came back saying only that it uncovered 3 area's of concern and they wish to take biopsy's, which was done only a few days ago, all 23 of the little buggers I felt the last 9/10.
Now I have a telephone conversation with the specialist in another 9 days.
My question is Not that does anyone think it is cancer, more how do I calm myself, I've been sick, sleepless not eating and obviously worrying, any tips please just to see me through till the call, anything anyone could recommend, would be much appreciated.
many thanks
