Confused what is happening and why

Hey,

I am a 20 year old female, I have been experiencing a range of symptoms for a while.

firstly I have had lumps develop in my groin area and armpits I assumed these were likely I grown hairs from shaving but there are two persistent lumps thet don't hurt, don't leak pus and are moveable. I haven't approached a doctor because I am scared that I would be wasting their time.
I alsol have been experiencing pain in the abdominal area that is dull and is like a band of pain under my rib cage both sides. I again assume this may be something like a gastro issue.
however lately (since Oct) I have been experiencing sharp sudden onsets of chest pain. The pain is located in the centre of my chest, is worse when I breathe in and bend over. It's weird because I never experienced it before but I suppose it became a thing of life.
On top of this I have been experiencing severe headaches that only ease by sitting in the dark for a while, I'm just in a lot of pain my head, back, chest. I suffer from anxiety but I know my symptoms of that and I have had that for years but not these other pains.

as a side note I'm sure if it matter but I have a history of cancers in my family (great nan - breast cancer, grandad - leukaemia and mum - adrenal tumour and liver lesions under investigation)

  • Hi Winter20,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to read of the issues you're experiencing.

Do give your doctor a call if you are concerned - it's what they're there for, and they will always want to hear from you if you have worries about pain or any changes you've noticed.

They may offer you a phone appointment initially and then if they feel it's necessary they'll ask to see you.

It's the only place you can really get answers from so do give them a call.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
