BRAIN MRI AND SPECTROSCOPY

Hi all, I'm having a first MRI and spectroscopy. I don't have a clue what I'm to expect. What exactly is a spectroscopy? I'm also very scared on receiving a contrast dye I'm a bit paranoid over things like that. Could anyone talk me through the procedure and experiences to help put my mind at ease. Thank you

    I just saw your post and wanted to share some information we have about the MRI. It includes a little segment about the spectroscopy but if you'd like to find out more I would suggest giving our cancer nurses a call. They'll be available next week on 0808 800 4040 between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    I hope some of our members who have had this test will share their experiences and advice with you soon but in the meantime I just wanted to wish you good luck and let you know we're thinking of you.
