Hi i had a bad bout of bronchitis in October got over that but could feel a lump sensation in my throat no difficulty swallowing. I reported this to my gp she sent me on a 2 week suspected cancer pathway. I had a barium swallow an a CT scan of my neck an woz told I'd get results within 2 weeks. Nothings come an now I've had a letter saying the specialist wants me to see him this Friday for an examination. I'm obviously terrified an thinking the worst. Why does he want to see me instead of just giving me my results. The hospital say this is normal practice but it's 1st I've heard of this. Has this happened with anyone else? Please I'm so worried i suffer from terrible anxiety an have been having panic attacks an actually being sick literally with worry I'm going out of my mind.
