I lost my voice over 4 weeks ago after a cold  recovered from the cold but my voice didnt recover .my gp referd me to a ENT specialist. Recieved the appointment within 5 days and went yesterday 

The dr said I have a swelling on my voice box and now need to have a larynscopsy within 2 weeks 

He didnt mention cancer and I didnt ask .Had all the pre op done now just waiting for the appointment to go in .Has anyone else had a swelling on there voice box and what was the final diagnosis. And how was it treated.
