Confused about symptoms

Hello, I am new to this forum. I can't seem to get help from my GP, particularly not in the middle of the pandemic.

My question is how long it is possible to experience _mild_ symptoms of ovarian cancer, and whether it is always possible to detect a lump.

Background: I had very faint pain in 2018; it's got progressively worse and they diagnosed me with IBS. But the medication I'm on isn't relieving the pain any more. Back in 2018 I had a CT scan and MRI, which showed nothing. Occasional abdominal palpations have not detected any lump.

I am over 50, I occasionally had a 'nervous tummy' in my 20s but have had no symptoms for 30 years, and now this. It feels completely different to what I ever experienced before and in a different place.

The thing that is giving me pause for thought is how a friend, who died around three years ago of ovarian cancer, started to look pregnant because of bloating--at the time none of us knew what it was. Now my lower abdomen is sticking out, like hers. I am also tired all the time. The pain does come and go and the bloating used to, but now is pretty much permanent, I can't fit into most of my clothes.
