Hi,
Just looking for some experiences if anyone has ever had a left thigh bigger than the other?
This all started about 2 months ago when I noticed a swelling just above my shin. Looked fluid like. Anyway I ignored it for a while thinking I'd banged it.
It hasn't cleared up so went the gp who sent me for an ultrasound scan of that area. At the same time we noticed my left thigh was 2 inches bigger than the right. So I was checked for a dvt which was negative.
In the last week my thigh is now quite painful with what I'd describe as siatica feeling and knee area feels sore/swollen. Doctor zero idea what is is as blood tests all normal. Also for about 18 months iv been having a random few seconds hot feeling on my left foot which im waiting for a referral about to neurology.
In the meantime the hospital have referred for a soft tissue ultrasound scan on my left leg. I have also recently had a body and brain mri scan which only flagged up back issues with bulging discs, nodules and slight curve of spine. Sadly my legs weren't included in mri.
I'm slightly freaking out that I may have a tumor/cancer in my leg though as all doctors seem clueless to what it is
Anyone had similar? I may add i haven't injured it in any way. I am about 3 stone over weight so realise this may not be helping.
I'm debating with covid to pay private for another scan but of my left this time
