CA125 blood test high ovarian cancer ??

Hi 

I recently got admitted to hospital query diverticulitis, had ct scan suddenly gynaecology were standing by my bed saying I needed ca125 blood test and a ultra sound, ct showed a cyst that had septation, I have had pelvic pain, constipation, heavy bleeding, and bloated for some time but eveeytime I asked there was always a answer ibs, hormones or something, now I'm in so much pain and discomfort, had ultrasound but they didn't say hardly anything apart from 7cm cyst and couldn't find my right ovary my ca125 was 770 which is so high, I'm so scared but u can't get a appointment till 3rd Feb, anyone else experience this

    Hello Emlou76, 

    I am so sorry to hear about your recent hospital admission. It's good they did all the tests there though and I hope that you get some clarity on all this very soon. It does sound like you have been in a lot of pain and discomfort. It must be such a stressful time for you as you are waiting to find out more about this 7cm cyst and about what this high CA125 reading might mean. 

    I know it is really hard especially as you are having to wait quite a few days to be seen but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious. 

    I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.
