Unexplained bruising

Hello all.

Over the last few months I have been experiencing small finger tip sized bruises on my legs, pelvic pain, stomach pain, fatigue and breathlessness.

 

I assumed I was maybe low on iron, until things got a little more strange

 

a few weeks ago a huge bruise appeared on top of my foot - it looked as though I had broken it! The thing is - I had no accident and the bruise wasn't sore. 
 

Then 2 days ago, while changing I noticed another palm sized bruise on the back of my leg which was bright purple and nasty looking, again - I know I haven't banged myself 

I was asked to email photos to my GP yesterday and she took me in today for a range of blood tests and now wants to refer me to the haematology department.

 

she told me they were very unusual and strange....

 

I have been suffering awful headaches too so the doctor has focused on this.  my MRI brain scan came back clear yesterday. 
 

with all these symptoms I am fearing the worst with a 7 day wait for my results. I can't eat I feel so unwell with worry :(

 

Anyone have any positive ideas eg not the big C that may be causing such symptoms .

    I'm sorry to hear that you've been dealing with some health problems over the past few months. Whilst you're still feeling anxious about what may be causing your symptoms, it's good to hear that your MRI didn't raise any concerns. 

    Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long for your appointment with the Haematologist but in the meantime, if you'd like to talk things through with one of our team of nurses then please do give them a call. They're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

    I am feeling so sick with nerves I just can't eat. I'm already very very thin (naturally fast metabolism!) and so it's not helping that I have lost my appetite. 

    i am fearing the worst as the doctor themselves admitted the bruises are a concern and abnormal. 
     

    I have had a lot of bone pain in my hips and leg and I'm thinking it's all related . Tired tired tired... 

     

    fingers crossed it's good news next week when my blood tests come back ....x

    Hi Rachael and welcome to Cancer Chat.

    I just wanted to reply to you as I noticed you were hoping to hear back from WeeOne90.

    Unfortunately they haven't been on the forum in a while and this discussion was last active over 2 years ago so there's a chance you may not find out what happened.

    I really hope that won't be the case, but if you don't receive a reply, you could try reaching out to others on more recent discussions you find about this topic or you can start a new discussion.
