Hi, I have had previous thyroid cancer in October 2016. Fast forward to July 2020 I had an MRI because of back pain. They found a dark spot/lesion. Roll on to an appointment New Year's Eve with a spinal nurse they said they couldn't rule out this was metastatic cancer. It's been 7 months since they found this on my L3 vertebra. Is 7 months a long time to wait? I have been referred to oncology but since I have not had a CT scan they rejected me till I have one. I've had 2 mri one with dye and a bone scan, July August and September. I'm just so puzzled if this is cancer I've been left for 7 months plus. Is this expected?
ESR is currently 19, was 20 and have another blood test from GP for Friday so I'm panicking now.
