Ascending colon cancer worried

Hello

i am new to this forum and just want to see if anyone as had similar issues. I have been suffering with constipation for about 5 months it’s not been bad I’ve still been going every other day. Anyway I had a bowel movement around October and it was quite big(sorry) then 2 days later had another one and there was loads of blood. 2 days later same thing again then no blood since. I have got a tight pulling feeling in my right side and near and above hip(love handles). I only feel it pulling when I lie on my left side. My doctor sent me for a scan of ovaries they were ok and took fbc which was fine. He as just done a fit yes that as come back abnormal 21ug and as referred me for urgent colonoscopy which is tomorrow. I’ve never slept for a week and not been eating due to worry. I’m worried sick about bowel cancer as I lost my husband to cancer 5 years ago. I suffer bad health anxiety. I am 53 years old and have 2 children. Sorry for the long post.

    Sorry for the late reply, hope all is well. I was booked in for bloods for suspected glandular fever on the 1st March, I decided to suck it up and wait. The lumps and bowel problems have eased off a bit but still cause for concern in my eyes and started feeling light headed a few days although that is a sign of glandular fever. Just going to have to wait and see what the blood tests show. Did you find out about the pulling in your stomach? x

    Had the blood test - results come in 48 hours :)

    Hey sweetie, I am very sorry that you're so stressed. I understand what you're going through. I'm 37 and waiting for my FIT results. I had no bleeding but I have 2 hard ljmos

    in my groin. And I'm scared they're cancerous lymph nodes. 
    as for colonoscopy. Sometimes polyps cause bleeding. Only that you have a blood detected it doesn't mean that it's a cancer. It might be a polyp. I know it's easy to say.... and it wouldn't help me anyway as I still would be freak out. I hope for the best for you

    Hi sorry only just seen the message. I had to go for an ultrasound on my kidneys which was fine but have shown an inflamed bowel and gallstones. well done going for the blood test. Hope your bowel problem is not as bad. Im sure everything will be fine xx

    Morning, glad to hear it wasn't what you thought it was - must be a big stress relief. Have they gave you any medicine/advice for the gallstones and inflamed bowel. My bloods came back all normal but I didn't ask what it tested for and I didn't mention a few of my symptoms still persist so will book an appointment tomorrow to discuss. x
