Is this normal ct scan

Hi I had a ct scan on Tuesday and 2 people told me after it is done I can leave straight away. So I had my ct scan I started to walk out the door and they said no you can't go yet we need to phone the dr and sat me back down. Then a nurse came in and asked me if I have pain, I told I'm always in pain in my bladder area. Then she went out came back in and asked do you have pain in your kidneys, I said sometimes and in my side, she left again then came back and asked which side. Then she told me I can leave 5 mins later. It seemed really strange to me

    Hello Bubs84, 

    I can understand why you felt puzzled that they asked you those questions after your CT scan but try not to dwell too much on this - there are so many reasons as to why they needed to add this information to their notes and it's good that they were so thorough. I guess now it is all a waiting game for you and I hope that you won't have to wait too long to get your results.

    The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about all this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious. 

    I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.
